How will my child be prepared to transfer to another class?
- Discussions are held between the previous and receiving teacher prior to the pupil moving classes
- All pupils will have the opportunity to spend a session in their new class prior to moving.
- For pupils with additional needs, extra visits to their new classes can be arranged and social stories /transition books may be compiled.
- For a pupil with an Education Health Care Plan or high level needs, an additional meeting may be arranged between yourselves and the SENDCo to ensure that the necessary provision is in place in your child’s new class.
