Every Friday morning at 9:05 am, we hold our Celebration Assembly. We celebrate our ‘Superstars’ who have been chosen by their teachers for a variety of reasons, such as being helpful, trying really hard or producing outstanding work. The pupils are each awarded a certificate, which is displayed in the hall for their friends to see and then taken home the following week.
We also celebrate a range of different achievements that have happened outside of school. We regularly share swimming certificates, awards from Rainbows, Beavers, Brownies and Cubs as well as sporting achievements. With parental agreement, these achievements are also shared in the newsletter.
Verbal and Written Praise
All class teachers reward their children verbally during the school day and also through the positive comments written on their school work.
Stickers and Housepoints
Children may be rewarded with headteacher stickers if their teachers feel that their work is of a high-standard. Stickers are also earned by the children if they have done something well, such as been kind or helpful towards other children or adults.
