Choir Radio Interviews
In advance of the wonderful Christmas Tree Festival choir performance last week, we were visited by Keith Wedgebury of BBC Radio WM to record the children singing and to interview Mark, Paige, Mrs. Sampson and Mr. Watson. The interview can be heard by clicking on the link below and logging on to the BBC website. You will be taken to Brody Swain’s show.
The children and Mrs. Sampson can be heard at 1 hour and 32 minutes in and I gave a short interview which can be heard at 1 hour 25 minutes in. You will be pleased to hear that there is a slider so that you can skip straight to the part that you wish to hear.
Thank you to Mark and Paige for being brave enough to take part in the interview and for Mrs. Sampson for so eloquently explaining the benefits of the children taking part in music at school. When we were at St. Mary’s it was mentioned that the first Westgate choir that sang at the festival some years ago was only twelve children in size.Mrs. Sampson has done a wonderful job of making the experience of singing so exciting and pleasurable that the choir has grown to over 40 members!
