Eco-warriors taking action against littering
The Eco-School reps have been busy in the garden growing and harvesting a range of vegetables, including potatoes and carrots. They have also grown sunflowers with Anne Marie and tended to the wild flower garden.

Bulb Planting in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2
Hintons Nursery made contact with Westgate to ask whether we would like pots, bulbs and compost for 30 children. They feel that it is really important for children to get involved in gardening and plants as young as possible. When the bulbs were collected, rather than 30 pots Sarah, the manager, instead gave us more than double this number. This generosity has allowed us to let all of the children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 to plant bulbs. The children have planted 3 daffodil bulbs in their pot. Thank you to Mr. Hawker and Mrs, Kiley for helping with the planting.
