Behaviour

We believe that your child should feel safe, happy, confident and secure whilst in school, both in the classroom and on the playground. We want your child to develop positive attitudes about themselves, others and towards their learning.

We have developed class charters with the children outlining the rights that the children feel everyone in the class need to have in order to reach their optimum potential, with regard to their social, emotional and academic experience and achievement. The children also have responsibilities in the classroom (School Council Rep, Eco-Schools Rep, register monitors, lunchbox monitors). Each child knows that they have a responsibility to ensure that everyone’s rights can be respected.

The charters cover all aspects of behaviour within the classroom and the outside environmental areas. We believe that it is vital that the children are rewarded for behaving appropriately and for respecting themselves and each other.

Managing Challenging Behaviour At Home

Many parents will experience challenges with managing their child's behaviour from time to time.  The documents below contain guidance, strategies and ideas that you may find useful.  If you need further support, please speak to a member of staff.
