Links with Warwick Racecourse

Racecourse Visitors 

We were visited recently by Robert Milne and Andre Klein of Warwick Racecourse. The children were able to dress up in racing colours and meet a real life thoroughbred horse! There was some lovely feedback from Andre Klein, the general manager of the racecourse who wrote: “I have to say, I was really impressed with the children. They are a credit to the school”. Sonny, Georgia, Layla, Vanessa, Mark and Steffan represented the school well and they were rewarded for their help by receiving a pack of Top Trump-style cards from Warwick Racecourse. The children produced their own racing colours which will be displayed at Warwick Racecourse when they are finished. It was great fun and it is pleasing that we are having so many opportunities to work with the local community this year. There was great excitement from the rest of the school when a very large ‘horse’ walked through the small hall! Thank you to our Year 3 children and to our visitors from the racecourse.
