Year 5

Welcome to Year 5!

We are your teachers: Mrs Davies and Miss Hobday.
Mrs Davies will be teaching on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Miss Hobday will be teaching on Thursdays and Fridays. Mrs McEvilly, Mrs Price and Mrs Scott are also supporting Year 5 this year.

Things to remember:

Homework

Reading: To write in reading diaries each day they have read at home.

Spellings: These are set on Spelling Frame - all children should have a login.

Times table Rock stars (TTRS): To practise their times tables each week - all children should have a login.

Handwriting: A paper sheet will be sent home each week to complete.

Tuesday

• Handwriting homework to be handed in
• Spellings and TTRS to be completed for the week

Wednesday

• PE in the afternoon-please come to school in PE kit appropriate for outdoor PE lessons 

Thursday

• Handwriting homework given out
• New Spellings set
• New week of TTRS

Friday

• Reading diaries signed by parents and carers and handed in
• PE in the afternoon-please come to school in PE kit appropriate for outdoor PE lessons 

Reading books online

School have paid to upgrade our subscription to Oxford Owl which now means you can access 550 ebooks from home.  Go to www.oxfordowl.com, click 'log in', click 'students' and use the class login details shown on TEAMS (email your class teacher if you can't access TEAMS).  You can search for books using the age groups.  Happy reading!
