How will my child be prepared for transfer to secondary school?
- The local secondary school provides opportunities for all pupils to visit or engage in activities arranged by the school throughout year 6.
- For pupils with Special Needs, additional visits are arranged on a one to one or as part of a small group.
- For pupils with Special Needs transitioning to schools other than the local school, the SENDCo and/or class teacher will liaise with the new school to ensure that the necessary provision is in place.
